Akwa Ibom state government has said that it has concentrated on completion of over 772km roads across three senatorial districts and 31 local government areas in the state and other focal points of development in the ARISE agenda of the present administration in the state .
Speaking during the monthly media briefing to recap activities of government in the month of September , the state Commissioner of Information Hon Àniekan Umanah said government will remains focused on state of emergency in the health sector as well as power sector reforms and other pillars in the ARISE agenda of the present administration of pastor Umo Eno in the state.
” During the month of September 2025, His Excellency pastor Umo Eno engaged in a series of important assignments that furthr deepened the implementation of the Arise Agenda, our comprehensive blueprint for development ”
Umanah explained that the 772 roads constructed by pastor Umo Eno include some uncompleted roads projects inherited from his predecessor adding that all the road projects will be completed and commissioned .
” In roads and bridges, over 772 kilometers of roads are at various stage of construction and 31 bridges have been completed .
Umanah listed other sectors of developments by governor Umo Eno in the month of September to include aviation , tourism , Agriculture, social welfare intervention through building of compassionate homes , workers welfare , power and human capital department initiative.
He said governor Umo Eno also involved in some social activities in the month of September such as diaspora engagement overseas where he met with some young Akwa Ibom indigenes abroad.
” Additionally, to encourage indigenes of the state to make their mark in all field of endeavours , they find themselves, Eno hosted Jason Utitofon, Mayor of Islington, moved on to strengthening the traditional institution in the state by swearing in the new chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers” he said
