APC NWC dissolves Enugu executive committee

From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved the Ugo Agbala-led Enugu State executive of the party, appointing former state chairman, Ben Nwoye, as the new state caretaker committee chairman.

Although the action was linked with the speculated defection of the State governor, Peter Mbah to the APC, the party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Jide Meseko, who made the disclosure at a press conference, diplomatically parried it.

He also announced that the dissolution is with immediate effect, revealing that former Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Eugene Odoh, has been appointed as the caretaker committee secretary.

The ruling party’s national leadership equally announced the disqualification of Kayode Ojo from the Ekiti State off-cycle governorship election billed for 27th of this month.
