The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced readiness to work with the newly appointed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Amupitan Joash Ojo.
The ruling party’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Jide Meseko, gave the assurance on Thursday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
The party’s spokesperson who gave the assurance in Abuja, promised that the ruling party will operate within the ambit of the law to cooperate with him.
According to him: “The constitution of the country gives the president the prerogative and he has exercised it in his own wisdom. I can tell you that anybody announced as the chairman of INEC is welcomed by the APC and we are not opposed to that.
“We welcome the person that the APC will operate within the ambit of the law to cooperate with him. We wish him well,” he said.
