AFC Bournemouth’s winger, Justin Kluivert has received a Guinness World Records certificate for the most penalties scored by a football player in an English Premier League match.
Kluivert, the 26-year-old son of Dutch legend, Patrick Kluivert, set the record by scoring three penalties against Wolves on November 30, 2024, in the 2024-2025 season.
Bournemouth won the game 4-2.
The GWR announced the presentation of the certificate to Kluivert in a Facebook post on Sunday.
“Congratulations to Justin Kluivert of AFC Bournemouth who was recently presented with his certificate for the most penalties scored by a football (soccer) player in an English Premier League match.
“Justin’s hat-trick of penalties took place as Bournemouth played Wolves on 30 November 2024, with a final score of 4-2 to the Cherries.
“Talent runs in the family – Justin’s father Patrick Kluivert became the youngest player to score in a UEFA Champions League final at 18 years 327 days old when he scored the only goal in the 1995 UEFA Champions League final, playing for Ajax (Netherlands) against AC Milan (Italy),” the post reads.
