Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze has welcomed his former teammate Pervis Estupiñán to AC Milan. Milan signed Estupiñán (27) from Brighton, making him the first Ecuadorian player in the club’s history, for a fee of €17 million plus €2 million in add-ons.
A warm embrace was shared between the Nigerian and the Ecuadorian at the team’s hotel in Hong Kong. Chukwueze and Estupiñán previously played together at Villarreal from 2020 to 2022, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2021.
In other news, Chukwueze was in action as AC Milan defeated Liverpool 4-2 in a preseason friendly in Hong Kong on Saturday. Named among the substitutes, Chukwueze came on for Rafael Leão in the 63rd minute. Milan entered this encounter following a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in their first preseason match a few days prior.
