Immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mabel Oboh, has said the growth and progress in the party were due to the purposeful leadership enshrined in transparency and accountability that the party is known for.
She disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Benin.
Oboh said the party, over the years, has gone through turbulent times but was able to surmount them because of the unity of purpose in the party, which is to rescue Nigeria and better the lives of Nigerians.
The 2020 Edo State governorship candidate on the platform of the party, while commending the party for allowing her to serve as the national publicity secretary of the party, said it was a period for her to have further broadened her horizon using her wealth of experience in the media.
She described the party as one with gender inclusivity, which, she said, has further endeared it to every right-thinking Nigerian.
She also lauded the party for giving her the platform to contest the 2020 Edo State governorship election.
She said she was able to use that period to propagate the aims and objectives of the party and make it a household name in Edo State.
While sharing her thoughts on the recent coalition in the party, she said it was a step in the right direction, adding that it would help right the wrong in Nigeria’s political history.
