Cristiano Ronaldo makes football history with latest goal for Al Nassr

By Seyi Babalola

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to reach 100 goals for four different clubs and his country on Saturday, when he scored for Al-Nassr.

Since leaving Manchester United at the end of December 2022, the Portugal superstar has dominated Saudi Arabian football, finishing as the best scorer in the Saudi Pro League the previous two seasons.

And he created history in the Saudi Super Cup final, scoring against Al-Ahli Saudi to bring his career total to 100 goals with the club.

Ronaldo had drawn a blank in the semi-final as Al-Nassr saw off Al-Ittihad 2-1, but he was presented with a golden opportunity from the penalty spot in the 41st minute.

He made no mistake, firing down the middle and beyond Édouard Mendy to put Al-Nassr in front.

Ronaldo has also scored 100 goals for Manchester United (145), Real Madrid (450) and Juventus (101). In addition, he is Portugal’s record goalscorer with 138.
