The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, has shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the death of Arise News broadcaster, Somtochukwu Maduagwu.
Adewale spoke on her demise in an interview with Arise News on Wednesday.

The FCT police command had confirmed that Maduagwu, a 29-year-old lawyer and news anchor, was killed following an armed robbery incident in her home in the Katampe area of Abuja on Monday.
However, reports soon circulated that the journalist died after being denied medical attention at the Maitama General Hospital, Abuja.
Reacting, the police boss denied the claim, noting that medical personnel tried to revive her but their efforts proved abortive.
“Policemen moved to the scene and found her lying unconscious. She was immediately taken to Maitama General Hospital, where doctors tried to resuscitate her using CPR, but sadly, she could not make it,” he said.
Explaining how the incident transpired, Adewale said, “Some unknown armed robbers gained access into Unique Apartments where Sommie lived. Two private security guards were on duty. One of them, who had the courage to challenge the robbers, sustained a gunshot injury.
“In the panic that followed, Sommie, who lived on the topmost floor of the building, jumped down from the third storey. The consequences were tragic and very unfortunate.”
“FCT Command once again commiserates with the family of Sommie, the Arise News family, and Nigerians deeply touched by this ugly and disturbing incident,” he added.
The police commissioner said investigation into the incident has commenced, with the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Investigation, leading all tactical units involved to track down the culprits.
