Edo State Government Orders the Immediate Closure of all Satellite on Campus

The Edo State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all satellite campuses of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) Ekpoma. The directive, issued on February 11, 2025, through a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, emphasized that all academic programs and courses should now be conducted exclusively at the main campus in Ekpoma.

This decision aligns with Governor Monday Okpebholo’s commitment to improving the standards of the university. The closure of the satellite campuses is part of a broader strategy to invest in and enhance the university’s infrastructure and academic offerings. The university’s Governing Council and management have been instructed to ensure compliance with this new policy.
