In a major stride to boost production and meet growing consumer demand, Big Bottling Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the Aje Group and makers of popular beverage brands such as Big Cola and Cifrut, has commissioned a new beverage production line.
The unveiling took place during a special event that also celebrated long-serving employees and fostered team unity.
The new production line, which is expected to significantly increase the company’s output across various pack sizes, was officially commissioned by the Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Hernan Córdova.
In attendance were key executives including Mr. Dennis Cunliffe (Commercial Director), Mr. Anibal Torres (Chief Financial Officer), Mr. Raul Inga (Supply Chain Manager), along with other staff members and distinguished guests.
Describing the commissioning as “a new turn of events,” Mr. Córdova highlighted the development as a core part of AJE 2.0 , the company’s strategic transformation initiative focused on driving productivity, enhancing market reach, boosting sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The event also featured a Team Building Exercise, led by Mr. Babatunde Ogundiran, who praised the resilience and dedication of the Aje team.
He underscored the organisation’s core values; fearlessness, dreaming big, entrepreneurship, passion and brotherhood as vital forces propelling the company forward.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Mr. Cunliffe said it was designed to celebrate the company on three fronts: the commissioning of the new line, team bonding, and the recognition of long-serving employees.
“We felt the need to appreciate and celebrate staff that stood with us through thick and thin,” he said. Adding to the sentiments, Mr. Torres emphasized the company’s commitment to staff welfare:“We are happy to appreciate and put smiles on the faces of all our staff, especially the awardees, as we celebrate this special day. We look forward to the next edition and hope to make it even bigger.”
Dr. Olayinka Akerele, Chairman of the organizing committee, stated that the celebration reflects the firm’s ongoing innovation and deep appreciation for its workforce, encouraging all employees to continue striving for excellence.
The following staff were recognized for their outstanding dedication and years of service: Folorunsho Owolabi, Francis Igenegbai, Unugor Bashir, Emmanuel Olatunji, Raheem Babatunde, Ajiboye Olawale, Rasheed Agboke, Mojisola Williams, Ogunsanya Samuel, Ilyas Adekunle, Gilly Uvo, Adeoye Gbemisola, Ngozi Onyeneke, Taiwo Somoye, and Mathias Williams.
