The latest Forbes report has revealed the countries with the highest number of billionaires, and the United States tops the list.

Here are the top five countries with the highest number of billionaires in 2025:
United States
With approximately 870 to 902 billionaires claiming a net worth of at least $1 billion as of March 2025, the U.S. leads the world in the number of billionaires, with a combined net worth of about $6.8 trillion.
Notable billionaires include Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg.
China
China, including Hong Kong, ranks second with 450 to 823 billionaires. The technology and e-commerce sectors drive this country’s wealth, particularly in the TMT (technology, media, and telecom) space.
ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming, whose fortune is estimated at $65.5 billion, stands out despite economic challenges.
India
India secures third place with 205 to 284 billionaires and a combined net worth of $941 billion. Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest person, ranks tenth globally with a fortune of $92.5 billion.
Germany
Germany has approximately 141- 171 billionaires, with a combined net worth of $793 billion.
German billionaires typically amass their fortunes in manufacturing, retail, and grocery sectors. Dieter Schwarz, worth $41 billion, is a prime example of the country’s wealth.
Russia
Russia rounds out the top five with 89-140 billionaires and a combined net worth of $580 billion.
The oil and gas industry is the primary source of wealth for Russia’s billionaire class. Vagit Alekperov, a former Lukoil executive, tops the list in this country with $28.7 billion.
