Honda Manufacturing (Nigeria) Limited has officially launched its latest motorcycle model, the Honda Wave 110S, describing it as a reliable, affordable and efficient mobility solution tailored to Nigerian riders.

Speaking at the launch over the weekend, the Managing Director of Honda Nigeria, Mr. Tetsuya Kawai, described the new model as a significant step in Honda’s mission to provide quality mobility for everyday commuters.

“The Wave 110S is more than just a new model for our motorcycle lineup. It is the result of Honda’s ongoing efforts to create reliable and affordable mobility for everyday people’s commuting needs. This motorcycle was carefully designed for commuters, riders who want comfort, ease of use, and fuel efficiency,” he said.

Kawai further highlighted the unique features of the motorcycle, stating: “We understand that many customers need a motorcycle for private use, something stylish, simple to maintain, and easy to ride. The Wave 110S answers that need. It comes with a clean and sporty design, hand-start function, under-seat storage, and gives you a smooth riding experience. The Wave 110S is now available at all authorized Honda dealerships nationwide,” he concluded.

When asked about the pricing, Kawai disclosed that the Wave 110S is currently priced at N1.64 million, inclusive of all benefits.

He explained that although Honda assembles its motorcycles locally, manufacturing has been hampered by inconsistent government policies and unreliable power supply.

“Although we don’t manufacture in Nigeria, we assemble in Nigeria and all the motorcycles we have worldwide have the same quality. We have confidence in Nigeria; hence, when other companies left due to policy inconsistencies, we are expanding to all the regions and states in the country. We manufacture in 22 countries in the world,” Kawai noted.

Mr. Olabode Badejo, Division Manager, Sales Department, also underscored the model’s appeal: “We understand that many customers need a motorcycle for private use. Something stylish, simple to maintain, and easy to ride. The Wave 110S answers that need. It comes with a clean and sporty design, hand-start function, under-seat storage, and gives you a smooth riding experience. This model is built for riders who want quality without complication. Whether it is for daily commuting, weekend movement, or general use, the Wave 110S delivers good value and Honda’s reliability and quality.

“The launch also reflects our deep respect for the Nigerian market. We are proud to support personal transportation and continue to build trust with every product we offer. To our friends in the press, we thank you for your support and for always helping us share our message. We are excited to hear your thoughts as the Wave 110S enters the market and reaches riders across the country,” he said.

Earlier in his presentation, Mr. Emmanuel Ugbebor, Honda Nigeria’s Marketing Manager, explained that the Wave 110S was designed with the everyday Nigerian rider in mind.

“With its sleek design, superior handling, and trusted Honda engine, the Wave 110S is built to withstand Nigeria’s diverse road conditions while delivering top performance. The Wave 110S isn’t just a motorcycle; it’s a dependable partner for work, family, and daily life.

“The launch of the Wave 110S also comes on the heels of a historic global milestone for Honda: the production of over 500 million motorcycles worldwide,” Ugbebor said.

In his contribution, Komine Tetsuya, General Manager, Motorcycle Business Unit, Sales Division of Honda Motors, stated:

“This launch also marks another major step in Honda’s mission to support mobility, economic empowerment, and rider confidence across Nigeria.”
