Award-winning singer Davido is building excitement for his upcoming album, 5ive. In a recent post on his X account, he expressed his eagerness for the album’s release while teasing an unreleased song from the project.
Davido announced that his new single “Be There Still” is set for release on March 15 and will be his final release before the album drops on April 18. ‘5ive’ is expected to feature 17 tracks, matching the number of tracks on each of his four previous albums.
The year 2025 has already been busy for the artist. He secured his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammys for Best African Song Performance on Chris Brown’s “Sensational” and has been nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year, at the upcoming 17th Headies.
Ahead of the album release, Davido has dropped two singles: “Awuke,” featuring Jamaican dancehall artist YG Marley, and “Funds,” featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck. In his social media post, he described ‘5ive’ as an album that comes straight from the heart.
Fans can also look forward to collaborations on the album, with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay expected to feature on one track. Additionally, Adekunle Gold has teased a possible guest appearance, suggesting that “5ive” will continue the record-breaking success of his previous album, ‘Timeless.
