Police in India have arrested two Nigerians, Chima Moses Ibe and Chimezie Lazarus, in separate incidents over alleged drug trafficking.
Tulinj Police in Nalasopara (East) arrested 40-year-old Ibe aka Chimezie Emmanuel Godson Chima in a major operation on Monday.

Lazarus, 35, was among three suspects nabbed by police in Delhi for operating a narcotics racket.
The Free Press Journal reported that Ibe, a resident of Pragatinagar, Nalasopara (East) was arrested on Monday over alleged illegal purchase and sale of narcotics.
At the time of his arrest, police reportedly seized one kilogram of the banned drug Methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MD), commonly known as meth, valued at more than ₹2.08 crore (N343 million).
The police said the substance, concealed in plastic bags, were seized from his apartment with ₹34,500 (N569,000) in cash.
Police confirmed the seized substance as meth, sold for about ₹20,000 (N330,000) per gram in the black market.
A police team acting on a tip-off swooped on the suspect, who was subsequently booked under Sections 8(c) and 21(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, arrested, and remanded in custody.
Police are probing possible links of the suspect to larger international drug networks.
In a separate incident, Chimezie Lazarus was arrested by Delhi Police’s Crime Branch on Wednesday, September 10 as part of a three-man gang dealing in illicit drugs.
194 grams of cocaine valued at Rs 2.25 crore (N371 million) were recovered during the major operation.
His co-conspirators were identified as Rahul Wadhwa and Abdul Kadir.
Acting on a tip-off, police on September 6 arrested Wadhwa and Kadir in Rohini, North West Delhi as they were delivering a consignment and seized 85 grams of cocaine from them.
Investigations soon led to one Zudo, identified as a Nigerian, as the ring leader.
NDTV reported that police raided Mehrauli on September 10 and arrested him with another 109 grams of cocaine in his possession.
Police disclosed that Zudo, who had no prior criminal record, arrived India in January 2023 for medical treatment but turned to drug trafficking dude to financial difficulties.
He allegedly ran a distribution network in Delhi, Gurugram, Meerut, Chandigarh, and Haldwani, using former taxi drivers Kadir and Wadhwa as couriers.
Each courier got paid about ₹1,000 per delivery.
