Kano Pillars Football Club has signed a N100 million partnership deal with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa to support the club’s development and media visibility.
Speaking during the ceremony at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Thursday, July 17, 2025, the General Manager of Kano Pillars and former Super Eagles captain, Ahmad Musa, said the partnership would benefit the club and the people of Kano State, adding that it would boost the club’s media presence, improve its branding, and enhance its operations.
“The partnership is worth N100 million, with N45 million in cash and the remaining N55 million in equipment and services,” Musa revealed.
He explained that the support includes digital equipment such as cameras and computers, monthly media training for the club’s media team, and a new jersey sponsored by RFI.
On his part, the Nigeria Coordinator of RFI Hausa, Joseph Pelly, said the partnership is aimed at lifting the profile of the club internationally.
He noted that RFI Hausa will also support the club’s content production and expand its social media reach.
“The partnership goes beyond putting a logo on the jersey. It’s about supporting the club’s heritage and helping it grow.
“RFI Hausa will use its platforms, with over 1.6 million followers on Facebook and nearly 800,000 on TikTok, to promote Kano Pillars,” Pelly said.
The partnership covers all categories of the club, including the senior team, second team, Junior Pillars, and youth teams such as U-13, U-15, and U-19. Musa urged other organisations and individuals to partner with the club, noting that Kano Pillars remains open to further collaborations to contribute to its growth.
Those present at the event included the Chairman of Kano Pillars, Ali Naira, and board members, alongside RFI Hausa’s Editor-in-Chief, Bashir Ibrahim Idris, and Head of Digital and Media, Abdulrahman Gambo.
