Idris, who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Nura Bala Fingila, who also serves as Chairman of the NYSC State Governing Board, charged them to serve diligently while contributing positively to the socio-economic development of Kebbi State.

“NYSC has continued to be a symbol of unity, peace, and integration in Nigeria. My administration remains committed to supporting the scheme in carrying out its noble mandate in Kebbi State without any challenge.”

The governor urged the Corps Members to uphold the ideals of the scheme and work for the unity and progress of the nation. As a gesture of goodwill, he donated two large bulls to the Corps Members and officially declared the orientation course open.

Earlier, the State Coordinator of NYSC Kebbi, Alhaji Bala Dabo Kagarko, expressed gratitude to the governor for his unwavering support and commended the Corps Members for their outstanding conduct since arriving at the camp, stating that they have acclimatised well and shown great potential.

“This is a critical phase of your national assignment,” Dabo said. “You must maintain this spirit and strive to distinguish yourselves in service. The opportunity to earn national honours starts now.”

The highlight of the occasion was the administration of the oath of allegiance by Justice Maryam Abubakar Ka’oje, who represented the Chief Judge of Kebbi State.
