The 2025 edition of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) annual undergraduate essay competition has kicked-off
The Chief Executive Officer of the 21st Century Mahogany Concepts, organiser of the competition, Mr Eyinimi Omoruzi, in a statement issued in Yenagoa, pointed out that the competition, which is in its ninth edition, is a flagship annual academic exercise sponsored by the NCDMB to promote academic excellence amongst undergraduates in private and public tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
According to him, the competition is also designed to create awareness for the youths who are the real drivers of the Nigerian content initiative.
‘’ The programme is designed to inspire Nigerian youths to build capacities and competencies to prepare them to participate effectively in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, and develop the talent to create value from the opportunity,’’ he said.
Omoruzi, while disclosing that the topic of the 2025 essay competition is ‘Sustaining Local Content Policies in The Transitioning Oil and Gas Industry stated that submission of entries commenced on August 1st
He urged students of Nigerian tertiary institutions willing to participate to visit the NCDMB essay website to participate.
Omoruzi stated that the award ceremony will be held in Yenagoa on September 26th at the NCDMB headquarters, with the star prize fixed for ₦1,000,000 and all top 10 finalists going home with a laptop each.
