The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has promised to provide zero-interest funding for aspiring young entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into thriving businesses.
NYCN President, Comrade Solomon Adodo, gave the disclosure while flagging off the President Bola Tinubu Cares Initiative as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary celebration in Abuja.
Adodo described Nigeria’s independence as freedom from colonial rule and the promise of a greater future for all Nigerians, especially the youths.

He revealed that they will go from markets to garages, from streets to communities, to carry the message of hope directly to the people.
Adodo said: “On this 65th Independence anniversary of our beloved nation, I salute all those who fought tirelessly for the freedom of our dear nation and the entrenchment of democratic ethos that we are currently enjoying. Special thanks to our amiable president, Bola Tinubu.
“Under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria is on a renewed march towards economic liberation, which has prioritised the youth as drivers of this vision and mission.
“Dear compatriots, we have a president who believes in us. The onus, therefore, lies on us to stand firmly with him and work for the economic emancipation of Nigeria. It is on record that from the onset of this administration, programmes and initiatives have been rolled out for the betterment of youth.
“As a leader who sees young Nigerians as true partners in progress, NYCN is determined to ensure that the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President’s vision blossoms beyond just a mantra but a reality.
“Today, as part of this year’s independence celebration, we proudly flag off the Tinubu Cares Initiative, a symbol that Mr President truly cares for Nigerian youth, not in words alone but in tangible action.
“Alongside this, we are launching the NYCN Entrepreneurial Development Fund, a vehicle that will provide zero-interest funding for aspiring young entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into thriving businesses. From markets to garages, from streets to communities, we will carry this hope directly to the people.
“But we also know that prosperity cannot thrive without security. We commend our armed forces and security agencies for their courage and sacrifice in safeguarding our nation. The NYCN stands ready to deepen our partnership with them, ensuring that never again will our peace and unity be threatened by the enemies of Nigeria.
“We also recognise and commend the National Assembly under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Dr Godswill Akpabio, for working in synergy with the executive to enact laws that strengthen development across all regions. Through the establishment of Regional Development Commissions, no community, no state, no region is left behind in Nigeria’s new dawn of progress.
“Fellow youth, history calls on us. Let us maintain our confidence in Mr President and in ourselves. Let us unite, work hard, and build together the Nigeria of our dreams. A Nigeria where our potentials shine, our economy thrives, and our flag flies high with dignity before the world,” he said.
