Nwifuru swaps three commissioners, issues six months warning to two

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru has redeployed three commissioners in his cabinet in a minor cabinet reshuffle.

In the reshufflement, the state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Jude Okpor was redeployed to the ministry of Rural Development while Chief Ikeuwa Omebe who was in charge of the ministry, was redeployed to the Information ministry.

The Commissioner for Primary and Secondary Education,  Paul Nwobashi was redeployed to the ministry of border peace and conflict resolution while the commissioner in the ministry, Dr. Donatus Ilang was redeployed to Primary and Secondary Education ministry.

The new Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Ikeuwa Omebeh who announced the minor cabinet reshuffle, said Governor Francis Nwifuru gave the state Commissioner for Environment , Victor Chukwu and his Tertiary Education counterpart, Professor Omari Omaka(SAN) six months to sit up or face some punitive measures.

He said the Governor urged  members of the executive council to reflect on their stewardship to the state and redirect their focus on the vision and mission of the present administration in the state as encapsulated in the People’s Charter of Needs manifesto.
