From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri
Dr James Okoroma, Imo State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has hailed Ralph Nwosu, the party’s founder, for setting the stage for a new Nigeria.
Okoroma, in a statement released to journalists in Owerri on Saturday, July 26, 2025, described Nwosu as the “founder of the party that has now been adopted for future elections by Nigeria’s opposition politicians.”
Okoroma stated that Nwosu’s leadership vision is rooted in Pan-Africanism and Afrocentrism, aiming to raise global leaders of African extraction.
“The party’s mission is to re-engineer a political party system that is free from domination by wheeler-dealer political elites, moneybags, and godfathers, promoting transparency, accountability, inclusion, and diversity,” Okoroma stated.
He further explained that the party’s educational arm, ADC Global Campus, aims to nurture leaders with these principles, enabling them to provide effective governance at all levels.
He praised Nwosu’s selflessness, patriotism, honesty, and courage, saying that he has shown the way for others to follow. He noted that Nwosu’s sacrifice for the good of present and future generations of Nigerians has assured his place in history.
Okoroma urged opposition politicians to deploy the ADC as a vehicle to advance the cause of the common man and not to make Nwosu regret his sacrifice in the national interest.
