A two-storey building collapsed on Wednesday evening at 4, Modupeola street, Mangoro bus stop, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The incident occurred around 6 pm.
A 44-year-old trapped victim, who suffered a fracture and bruises, was rushed to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).
Five others who were rescued were taken to a private hospital in the neighbourhood.
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Gbenga Omotoso confirmed the development.
He said the cause of the incident was not immediately known.
Government officials have launched a probe into the incident.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) and other first responders got to the scene in good time and we’re able to rescue the trapped victim and five others from the rubble.
The commissioner said the trapped victim, who lives at 10, Olabode Street, Alimosho, arrived the hospital in a stable condition and was immediately admitted for further treatment.
