The Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, and the Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, have condoled with the Federal Government and the family of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement signed by Ferdinand Ekeoma, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Otti said he received the news of Buhari’s death with sadness.
In his condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and the family of the deceased former president, Otti described Buhari as a man of integrity and urged all to take heart.
He enjoined the former president’s family and loved ones to bear his demise with fortitude.
On his part, Senator Gaidam extended his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Nigeria, especially the Buhari family, on the demise of the former president.
In a statement he personally signed, Gaidam said the Ministry of Police Affairs and the entire police ecosystem share in this moment of grief and sorrow with the family, the people of Nigeria, and the nation at large.
“This is indeed a profound loss for Nigeria. Buhari’s commitment to public service and his unwavering dedication to the security sector will always be remembered and cherished.
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of a distinguished statesman who served with honour and integrity. May his spirit of leadership continue to inspire generations to come,” the minister said.
