The Oyo State Government has stepped up efforts to reclaim land and improve traffic flow on the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway. In a recent operation, the government demolished structures used by illegal diesel marketers in the Podo area.
The government also cleared trucks illegally parked along the expressway to reduce congestion and enhance road safety. These actions reflect the state’s strict policy against land grabbing and unauthorized use of public roads.
The Oyo State Government warned that those involved in land grabbing could face penalties, including imprisonment. The government is committed to protecting public assets and will continue taking action against illegal land use and road occupation.
