Paul Chukwuma, candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), has boldly declared himself the most academically prepared contender. In a state where education commands respect, his claim quickly captured public attention and set the tone for a heated campaign.
On Monday,Paul Chukwuma fired back at incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who mocked his candidacy. He dismissed the governor’s remarks as “comic relief,” stressing that Ndi Anambra deserve accountability, not theatrics. Furthermore, he argued that education goes beyond a single degree. “If it becomes necessary, I will gladly present my chain of degrees,” he said, underscoring both his academic credentials and his philosophy of competence and responsibility.
Chukwuma’s Vision for Anambra
Chukwuma sharply criticized Soludo’s three-year record, pointing to insecurity, collapsing infrastructure, and a worsening social environment. “The time for comedy is over,” he charged, urging a shift from distractions to urgent solutions.
At 47, Paul Chukwuma presents himself as “the quality alternative” for Ndi Anambra. His campaign rests on integrity, competence, and vision. He argues that his education and professional experience uniquely qualify him to lead the state through tough times. Notably, he holds a first-class degree in philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a first-class law degree from Baze University, and a distinction in his Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Derby. In addition, he has built a strong profile as an entrepreneur with investments across multiple sectors.
Chukwuma Challenges Soludo’s Record
Paul Chukwuma accused Soludo of presiding over weakening institutions, poor infrastructure, and worsening insecurity. To contrast, he stressed his own readiness to restore progress and safety. “The progress and safety of Ndi Anambra are far more important than my age or his ego,” he declared. He insisted that no ridicule or diversion could derail his mission to deliver meaningful change.
As the election approaches, Chukwuma’s campaign seeks to move beyond rhetoric and focus on action. He is urging voters to look past theatrics and demand accountability, practical policies, and leadership rooted in knowledge. For him, academic excellence is not mere pride—it symbolizes governance grounded in planning, strategy, and execution.
