Port Harcourt Pastor Arrested Over Alleged Homosexuality

The Rivers State Police Command arrested Pastor Elijah, the General Overseer of a new-generation church in Port Harcourt, for alleged homosexuality. His arrest followed a leaked video that reportedly showed him in a compromising situation.

Reports say Pastor Elijah’s troubles began when he allegedly made advances toward a male acquaintance. The acquaintance secretly recorded their interaction and later released the footage. Acting on credible intelligence, the Octopus (C4i) Strike Force Unit officers tracked and arrested him at one of his regular hangouts.

During interrogation, Pastor Elijah allegedly admitted to similar activities with both adults and minors in and outside Port Harcourt. The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Superintendent of Police Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed his arrest. She stated that authorities had already charged him to court and that investigations were ongoing.

This case has sparked discussions about the legal and social implications of such allegations in Nigeria, where homosexuality remains a criminal offense.
