The management of University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, yesterday revealed that some candidates who wrote the recent university Post-UTME screening test engaged in examination malpractice.
In a statement, the university said 2025/2026 Post-UTME online screening assessment was conducted from 1st to 4th September 2025, with a total of 20,464 candidates participating in the exercise. The university management observed that some candidates engaged in various forms of malpractice, contrary to the guidelines governing the examination.
“In line with the university’s zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice, such candidates will, based on the outcome of our on-going investigations and reviews, be rendered ineligible for admission.
“Our official communication channels, as earlier indicated in the various instructions to candidates, remain open. For the avoidance of doubt, however, the university is in possession of verifiable evidence of infractions.”
According to the statement, the university reiterated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its admissions process.
