Doguwa insisted that the attackers injured workers and destroyed property at the site of the enterprise, raising fear in the affected community.

He regretted that the APC Chairman in the LGA, Suyudi Umar, was specifically targeted during the attack while adding that this attack was part of a larger pattern of intimidation targeted at APC members in Doguwa/Tudun Wada LGA by the NNPP structures and leadership in the LGA.

He urged the security agencies to immediately investigate these unlawful incidents.

The Chairman, International Human Rights Commission, Nigeria office, Comrade Idi Haruna Ali, who spoke to the press after the submission of the petition, said they had visited the scene of the incident and gathered enough information including witness accounts.
