The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has dumped the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This came at a time when party leaders and governor’s aides are declaring their support to follow governor Ademola Adeleke to wherever he is going as rumour of his defection spreads.
In a letter tagged: resignation of my membership from the PDP, dated 12th June, 2025, and addressed to the ward 4 party chairman in Obokun Local Government, and obtained by our Correspondent on Saturday, Fadahunsi noted that he decided to leave after due consultation.
The letter reads: “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect, due to the irreparable, irreconcilable differences and protracted legal battles that have bedeviled the party at the National level after the 2023 general elections.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political
associates, family and friends.
“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith. Thank you for your understanding,” Fadahunsi said.
