Seven More Federal Institutions Coming to Zaria in 2025 – Reps Speaker

Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, announced that Zaria Federal Constituency will receive seven additional federal institutions in the 2025 budget. He made this disclosure during a Ramadan Iftar in Zaria on Saturday.

The new institutions are part of a plan to boost Zaria’s reputation as a hub for higher education. The Speaker mentioned several projects, including:

  • The Federal College of Agriculture
  • The Federal Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Institute
  • The Federal Technical College
  • The Centre for Management Development
  • The Technology Incubation Centre
  • A School for the Disabled (covering both primary and secondary levels)
  • Four new federal secondary schools

Dr. Tajudeen also assured his constituents that more development projects will be implemented in the 2025 fiscal year. He added that the 2025 budget has already been signed into law. Soon, payments for scholarships for 2,500 indigent students in tertiary institutions will be released, and an additional 4,000 students will benefit from the scheme.

The Speaker expressed gratitude for the support and solidarity from his constituents, saying that their support is the foundation of his achievements in the National Assembly.

He also called for prayers for President Bola Tinubu, noting that such prayers could help the government tackle inflation and boost GDP growth. He pointed out that, thanks to the Tinubu-led administration’s holistic approach, the rate of insecurity has significantly decreased.

Alhaji Garba-Datti Babawo, the National Vice Chairman (North-West) of the All Progressives Congress, commended Tajudeen for including all legislators, regardless of party, region, or other differences. Babawo urged the Speaker to continue his leadership style, which promotes peace, progress, and harmony.

Renowned politicians, clerics, traditional rulers, business leaders, and other stakeholders in Zaria Federal Constituency have all expressed their confidence in the Speaker, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
