In a series of high-profile engagements, Shettima fortified Nigeria’s international partnerships, including fruitful talks with representatives from the United Kingdom and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aimed at bolstering development, health, and innovation collaborations.

A key moment in the mission, according to the statement, was Shettima’s meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who expressed strong support for Nigeria’s bid to secure a permanent seat on the UN Security Council.

He also promoted Nigeria’s $200 billion energy transition opportunity, showcasing the country’s potential to global investors and underscoring Nigeria’s commitment to sustainable energy development.
