The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, has expressed strong support for the work of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) and the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
The monarch led a delegation of traditional rulers from Ogbomoso on a courtesy visit to Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, Director-General of the two councils, in Abuja recently.
Speaking during the visit, Oba Olaoye commended Prince Adeyemi’s leadership and described his appointment as “a divine opportunity to serve the nation at a critical time.” He assured that the Ogbomoso traditional institution fully endorses the DG and the mandate of both councils.

“The position you occupy is not just for you, but for the entire country. You must see it as a call to support this administration in its efforts to grow the Nigerian economy. Be assured that Ogbomoso people, home and abroad, are behind you,” the monarch said.
Oba Olaoye further praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to rebuilding Nigeria’s economy, stressing that the contributions of the councils under Prince Adeyemi’s leadership will be pivotal to achieving national growth.
In his response, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew expressed deep gratitude to the Soun and his entourage for their fatherly support. He reaffirmed his dedication to delivering on the confidence reposed in him by President Tinubu.
“We will not relent until Nigeria stands firmly as the economic powerhouse of Africa,” he assured.
The Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) serves as the Presidency’s think-tank on economic matters, offering policy analysis and innovative strategies to strengthen growth, fiscal responsibility, and inclusive development. The Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) focuses on mobilising global partnerships, attracting foreign investments, and coordinating strategic interventions that advance Nigeria’s international economic interests.
For the people of Ogbomoso, the visit was both a show of tradition and a strong statement of support for a son of the soil now entrusted with a pivotal national role.
