Stuttgart and Leeds Eye Nigerian Midfielder Anthony Dennis

German Bundesliga club Stuttgart and English Championship side Leeds United are reportedly monitoring 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis, who currently plays for Göztepe in Turkey. Dennis, born in Kaduna, was recently included in Nigeria’s 39-man provisional squad for this month’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

His impressive performances in the Turkish Super Lig have attracted interest from European clubs. With three assists in 20 appearances—including a key contribution in a 2-2 draw against Samsunspor—Dennis has proven his versatility in midfield. He can dictate play from a central role and drive forward as a box-to-box operator, making him a standout performer for Göztepe this season.

Dennis signed a contract extension with Göztepe in May last year, which keeps him at the club until 2027. However, with growing interest from Stuttgart and Leeds, Göztepe could soon face a tough challenge in retaining their prized asset as European clubs look to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.
