Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has promised to commence massive infrastructural development across the State at the onset of the dry season in October.

The Governor made the pledge on Monday night during a town hall meeting in his home town of Wukari, in Wukari Local Government area of the State.
The Governor said that lack of Master plan for the State made it difficult for him to take off and greatly delayed his development strides.
He noted that he was a deliberate person and prefers to do things that will stand the test of time.
“When I came on board, my main focus was security and education and I tackled these issues head-on. So far, we have been able to mop up the children from the streets through our free education policy. We have also commenced the building of new schools and improvement of infrastructure on the existing schools.
“In the area of security, I can not say we are there yet but we have made reasonable improvements. The era of sleepless nights where farmers could not even go to their farms is over. However, my target is to ensure lasting peace and stability. That is why this is a work in progress. We would continue to support our security agencies with logistics and other needs.
“Now that we have a Master plan for the State, I can assure you that real infrastructural development will commence across the State as soon as this October. We have laid the foundation and subsequent Governments will just have to build on it.
“I call on our people to be patient and to give us the needed followership to enable us provide good governance. It is a collective responsibility and we must all play our rolls, no matter how little” the Governor said.
Our Correspondent reports that the Governor has embarked on a listening tour of the State to listen to the people and have a better understanding of their needs so as to prioritize his projects across the State.
