President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on her birthday.
He acknowledged her instrumental role in mobilising Diaspora talents to support national development in sectors such as education, health, and sports.

In a statement issued by Special Adviser on Information, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Dabiri-Erewa’s long and distinguished career in public service, which began with broadcasting at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She later served as a member of the House of Representatives, elected in 2003, 2007, and 2011, where she chaired both the House Committee on Media & Publicity and the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs.
The President highlighted Dabiri-Erewa’s unwavering dedication to Nigeria and humanity, particularly her consistent focus on improving the lives of the underprivileged. He commended the passion, diligence, and visionary leadership she has shown as a journalist, legislator, and head of NIDCOM.
He also noted that her numerous awards and recognitions over the years are well-deserved.
