From Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, Abuja
President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to the family, friends, and associates of Colonel Mohammed Mana (retd), the former military administrator of Plateau State, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday in Abuja.
Mana, a respected figure in Nigerian politics and governance, served as the Military Governor of Plateau State before transitioning into national politics. He represented Adamawa North in the Nigerian Senate from 2007 to 2011 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Throughout his career, he was recognised as a committed patriot and a gentleman, who dedicated himself to his fatherland both in and out of uniform.
President Tinubu praised Mana for his unwavering commitment to the common good and his efforts toward building a better society. The President remarked that Mana’s counsel and leadership would be sorely missed across political and social circles.
He also extended his sympathies to the people and government of Adamawa State, as well as members of the APC family in the region. He highlighted that Mana played a pivotal role as chairman of the party’s reconciliation committee until his passing, a position through which he contributed significantly to political unity and progress.
