Tinubu’s daughter, Kebbi Nurses Association condole with Gov Idris over Emir of Zuru demise

The first daughter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Chief (Dr.) Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, has commiserated with Governor Nasir Idris, the Zuru Emirate, and the entire people of Kebbi State over the passing of the Emir of Zuru, Major General (Rtd) Sani Sami, Gomo II.

Also, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Kebbi State chapter has extended it condolence message to Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nasir Idris , and the entire people of Zuru emirate over the demise of Emir Zuru,Maj Gen Muhammad Sani Sami Gomo II.

Tinubu-Ojo, who visited the Government House, Birnin Kebbi,  with her entourage, offered her condolences to the Governor following the demise of the revered monarch last week.

Earlier,Tinubu’s daughter was in Zuru to sympathize with the late Emir’s family and the people of the emirate. She described the late Emir as an elder statesman and a great leader who served his people and the nation diligently.

“It was a life well spent. I specially commiserate with you on the passing of the Emir of Zuru, whom I considered part of me. I pray Almighty Allah grants him Aljannat Firdaus and gives you, the Zuru Emirate, and the entire Kebbi State the fortitude to bear this loss,” she said.

In his response, Governor Idris expressed gratitude for her visit and for personally traveling to Zuru before meeting him in Birnin Kebbi.

The Governor reaffirmed Kebbi State’s unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that he was the first governor to endorse the President for a second term.

He highlighted the development strides under his administration and praised the Federal Government for awarding major projects to the state, including the ongoing Super Highway, a significant portion of which lies in Kebbi State.

“What is important is development, and Mr. President has delivered that for us. That is why stakeholders in Kebbi State unanimously endorsed him. If there are five governors closest to Mr. President, I am one of them,” Governor Idris assu

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Kebbi State chapter has extended it condolence message to Kebbi state Governor, Dr Nasir Idris , and the entire people of Zuru emirate over the demise of Emir Zuru,Maj Gen Muhammad Sani Sami Gomo II.

State NANNM Chairman, Comrade Nurse Kilani Abdulwaliyu  stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

He explained that the body joined teaming mourners in Kebbi state and beyond to share the grief with Kebbi state governor and all the traditional rulers in Zuru emirate.

According to him, “on behalf of the entire nurses and midwives of Kebbi state, we condole the four chiefdoms in Zuru  Emirate over the painful and irreparable loss of the people’s Emir who dedicated all his life to serve humanity, an emir who stood for his people at all cost”.

NANNM also saluted the resilience and commitment of Kebbi state Governor during the burial period and after, saying that, “such attitudes indicated that Governor  Idris respects the traditional leaders and is ready to stand with them in every situation even in death”.

The Nurses body which  commended the contributions of the Zuru king Makers to the success and progress of the Emir, and therefore pray to Almighty Allah to guide them as they set to select the new emir.

He said: “We are sure given your track records of good service will lead you to make  the best choice of a new Emir, who will work with them harmoniously and one with the love of Zuru masses”.

Abdulwaliyu stressed that Nurses body in the  state are with the kingmakers in prayers as they make a critical choice in the life of Zuru emirate.
