The University of Benin (UNIBEN) came alive as MTN’s Go MAD Campus Invasion stormed the the school from September 11 to 13, transforming the school into a hub of entertainment, innovation, and unforgettable experiences.
For three days, students immersed themselves in interactive workshops, skill-empowerment sessions, and electrifying dance and game shows. But the biggest moment came on the final day when the spotlight fell on the raffle draw that had everyone holding their breath. At stake was the star prize, a brand-new 2025 Alsvin Mikano car.
That prize went to Edomwonyi Osariemen, a 200-level Engineering student, who was left stunned by his good fortune. “I still can’t believe this happened to me. While I participated in the raffle draw, I only came to enjoy the event with my friends, and now I’m leaving with a brand-new car! This has changed everything for me,” he said, grinning from ear to ear.
The giveaways didn’t end there. Other students went home with laptops, MTN MiFi devices, and airtime worth thousands of naira. For Daniel, another student participant, the event was about more than just winning prizes. “I didn’t win the car, but I won a laptop, and it means a lot. Even beyond the prizes, this event gave us confidence to showcase our talents and connect with opportunities,” he shared.
The UNIBEN edition marked the third stop in MTN’s university tour this year. Organizers estimate that more than a million students engaged with the activities during the three-day festival, from entrepreneurship booths to interactive games. With the University of Kano already set as the next stop, MTN’s Campus Invasion continues to cement its reputation as one of the most anticipated campus events in Nigeria.
