Prolific. Restless spirit. Erudite. These words define Rev Christ Christian’s authorial footprints. Here is a man walks with the sandals of a preacher and works with the quill of an intellectual. The grace to combine these two are uncommon in most humans, which is why Reverend Christian is rare Shepherd of Mankind, as he is addressed by Locust Army International Ministry faithful worldwide.
“The government of darkness is working tooth and nail to bring Nigeria to the precipices of destruction, but is vehemently resisted from God’s presence,” writes Chris Christian in his book, The Birth of a New Nigeria, which unmasks the enemies of the country with spiritual binoculars. Why the siege on Nigeria? Rev Christian envisions Nigeria as a nation after God’s heart – a spiritual nation and the eye of the New Millennium, which unsettles the gangsters of hell. In a word, it’s a country in prophecy.
In eleven chapters, the author problematices Nigeria’s pinaccle of woes and the inevitability of the embattled nation walking out of the tightrope of Golgotha and crucification. The author preaches that the birth of Nigeria is the only feasible solution to the country’s numerous challenges. Christian’s position is finding a resonance among prophets of God and other seers these days. Though political analysts see things from a different perspective, it is important to note that the spiritual controls the physical, which is why one should be cautious in dismissing the words of a eunuch-prophet with no wordly sensibilities like the author.
According to the author, the pre-eminent position of Nigeria in this economic millennium has drawn the attention of God to her directly. To give birth to our desired new nation, he contends that sacrificial efforts must be made individually and corporately to develop the only land that has the graves of our ancestors. Again, it is our corporate existence that made us huge, complex and intimidating. It is only patriotic that reckless leaders who plundered our economic destiny be brought to book urgently in this emerging political era.
He reveals that it is the tenacious resolution of the Lion of Judah who is seated King over the affairs of Nigeria to finish with a generation of corrupt, heartless and bloodsucking politicians by the spirit of prophecy and power. The author is categorical in saying there must be birth of a new spirit to vehemently oust the outrageous works of hell and purge fallen altars out of Nigeria’s spiritual firmament. He affirms that God depends on what Nigerians kept in the platform of destiny to give Nigeria a new prosperous destiny.
Christian contends that Nigeria is wounded by corruption and we must collectively emancipate her from the clutches of doomed leaders. To this end, the war against corruption must be fought at all levels. He echoes: “… war against corruption must be fought at all levels. Every Nigerian is like Nigeria and the change we corporately desire must follow a process of birth and emancipation. We must care about Nigeria because she is bigger than us. We must not allow political and religious inclination to destroy Nigeria. Nigeria needs to develop the spirit of servant leaders. Political parties and religious throne only feeds on what the land provides.”
The book tells us that the greatest challenge of Nigeria is the presence of clueless and visionless leaders. And “God reveals His way to leaders but relates with the people through His acts. This is why the ordination of every leader is an answer to the numerous challenges of his people. A leader is an answer to the numerous challenges of his people. A leader should be encouraged with submissive followership. It is possible for a leader to doubt himself in the face of vehement oppositions. There will be emergence of visionary leaders who will depend on their insight to reposition Nigeria in the circle of nations.”
Christian believes that every country is as important as its citizens. What’s more, ‘’The guardian angel of the last destiny of man is hovering over Nigeria and is secretly recruiting visionary vessels. A new Nigeria that is healthy, intelligent, sanctified and is ready to have global dominion must be born. One of the remarkable things God will accomplish in this millennium is the building of a dwelling place in the midst of Nigeria. Nigeria shall be an epitome of everything good, useful and admirable on this prophetic season.”
The author is confident that the storehouse that will shield Nigeria will be found in a particular area in the country. Read The Birth of a New Nigeria to find more about the saving grace that most Nigerians are glaringly ignoring.
