Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has emphasized the importance of a strong and purposeful ending in life, urging people to build a glorious future. Speaking during the Church’s monthly Thanksgiving Service at its Lagos headquarters on Sunday, which coincided with his 83rd birthday, Adeboye used biblical teachings to inspire his audience.
Quoting Isaiah 3:10, he stated, “Say to the righteous, it shall be well with him,” stressing that life is a three-phased journey—past, present, and future. He explained that today’s decisions shape tomorrow, advising people to plan wisely.
Adeboye cited Abraham’s story to illustrate generational growth and divine blessings, noting that God took Abraham’s lineage from greatness to exceeding greatness. He urged parents to train their children in righteousness, warning that failure to do so could jeopardize their legacy.
He also encouraged diligence, sowing, and humility as keys to a successful future. “Pride is a killer. God resists the proud. Submit to Him, and He will secure your destiny,” he advised.
In conclusion, Adeboye assured that only those who have Christ can be guaranteed a glorious future, reinforcing the belief that a good ending matters more than a great beginning.
