Auto crash: Kalu mourns Kano athletes

The deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin  Kalu,  has expressed sadness over the death of some members of the Kano State contingent  to National Sports Festival in Ogun State, in an auto crash.
Kalu, in a statement by his Special Assistant (SA) Press Affairs, Udora Orizu, on Sunday, described the death of the athletes as heartbreaking and a devastating blow to the nation.
20 athletes from Kano State, reportedly died in a road crash, at the weekend, while returning from the National Sports Festival.
The deputy speaker, while mourning the late athletes, noted that they dedicated themselves to excellence in sports, for a brighter future for the nation. He added that their good deeds will never be forgotten.
Kalu extended his condolences to the family  of the deceased, Kano State Government, the National Sports Commission and all sport enthusiasts and  prayed  to God to give them the fortitude to bear  loss.
