Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, CFR, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC), has extended heartfelt Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world, urging them to embrace the season’s profound lessons of sacrifice, renewal, and unity.
Dogara described Easter as the most significant celebration in Christendom, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ — the cornerstone of the Christian faith. According to him, Easter is more than a spiritual commemoration; it is a call to action. He noted that Nigeria, like many nations, is at a crossroads where unity and collective responsibility are urgently needed. “If we allow the spirit of Easter to guide our actions, we will rise above ethnic, religious, and political divisions. We will build a nation where justice prevails, where peace is sustained, and where prosperity is shared by all,” Dogara remarked.
