Ebonyi shuns sit-at-home

From Uchenna Inya, Abakaliki

The sit-at-home declared by Biafra agitators to mark Biafra independence recorded total failure in Ebonyi State.

In Abakaliki the state capital, residents of the state were seen going about their normal businesses.

Markets, shops, eatery centres and many filing stations opened for businesses when Daily Sun monitored the capital city.

Also, government offices and many schools opened for official duties and academic activities.

There were also human and vehicular movements in some major roads and streets including Ezza road, Ogoja road, Afikpo road, Ogbaga road, Mile 50/Ishieke road, water works road, hill top road, among others.
