EFCC nabs 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt

Operatives of the Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State

EFCC Spokesman, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the development on Wednesday.

According to him, they were arrested on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in a sting operation at various locations within Port Harcourt.

He added that the suspects were picked up following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet- related fraud.

“Items recovered from them include different models of exotic vehicles, a Q-link Motorcycle, various brands of phone and laptop containing incriminating and fraudulent documents.

“The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation,” he said.
