Lille Manager: “Akpom Will Make Us Stronger.”

Olivier Letang, the president of French Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille, has expressed confidence that the signing of Nigerian striker Chuba Akpom will make the team stronger and more competitive, as reported by BSNSports.com.ng.

Akpom, formerly of Arsenal, joined Lille on loan last weekend from Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam.

Letang highlighted that Lille had been closely monitoring Akpom for a long time.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce Chuba’s arrival. We have been following him for a long time. He has played for top clubs and gained valuable experience in European competitions,” Letang said. “We had previously tried to sign him, but it wasn’t possible at that time. Chuba is a versatile forward who can play in various positions across the attack.”

“He will add complementary qualities to our squad, making us even stronger. His personal qualities will also help him integrate quickly into our team. Chuba was very eager to join us, and we are delighted to have him as part of the Dogues family,” Letang added.
