Messi’s two goals equalled Ronaldo’s total number of goals in World Cup qualifiers, according to Asianet News.

The Portuguese and Argentine legends have 36 goals each, trailing only former Guatemalan striker Carlos Ruiz, who has 39.

When the 38-year-old went onto the Monumental Stadium pitch with his children, he was greeted with loud ovation.
