From Agaju Madugba, Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, says his administration will continue to support the police to ensure that officers have the resources and equipment they need to perform their duties effectively.
In a goodwill message on Tuesday to mark the 2026 National Police Day, Radda noted that he recognizes the relentless sacrifice and dedication of officers of the Nigerian Police Force.
According to him: “Today, we celebrate those who put on the uniform and risk their lives to keep us safe. Our police officers deserve our gratitude and respect.
“Our administration is committed to providing whatever support the police need, better equipment, better training, and better welfare for officers, these are our priorities.
“The police force has been instrumental in Katsina’s security efforts and we commend the commitment and bravery of officers working to combat rising violence and criminal activities across the state.”
The Governor urged residents to cooperate with all security agencies and provide information that can help combat crime and insecurity.
