The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced plans to host the fourth edition of its Quarterly Book Reading Programme, featuring former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dakuku Peterside.

The disclosure was contained in a statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Obinna Ezeobi, on April 7, 2026.

The event is scheduled to hold on April 15, 2026, at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

According to the Board, the programme is part of its ongoing efforts to promote literacy, critical thinking, and knowledge sharing through engagement with Nigerian authors and thought leaders.

Since its inception in 2014, the initiative has provided a platform for discussions on key national and institutional issues.

The upcoming session will focus on Peterside’s book, Leading in a Storm, which examines leadership strategies in times of crisis and organisational change.

The event will feature a reading session, interactive discussions, and a question-and-answer segment, alongside a book signing.

Peterside, who has over two decades of experience across public and private sectors, is known for his work in public sector reform and organisational leadership.

His book has received recognition in leadership circles and was named Book of the Year 2025 by THISDAY newspaper.

Speaking on the initiative, Ezeobi said the programme is designed to encourage innovation and value-driven leadership.

“This programme will provide an opportunity for meaningful dialogue on leadership, resilience, and transformation, while advancing the Board’s broader objective of fostering intellectual growth and national development,” he said.

He added that the event is expected to attract participants from the oil and gas industry, academia, government institutions, media, and the general public.

Previous editions of the programme have featured authors including Azu Ishiekwene and Dayo Oketola, among others.
