From Lateef Dada, Osogbo
A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has assured that his party would not abandon any ongoing project in the state, if elected in 2026.
His assurances came on the heels of fresh calls from members of APC in Egbedore Local Government that the gubernatorial ticket for the 2026 election be zoned to the West senatorial district of the state.

During his ward-to-ward tour to twelve wards in Egbedore and Ede North Local Government areas of the state, on Tuesday, Babayemi promised that an elected APC administration at the next year’s election, would ensure the completion of ongoing projects across the state.
Specifically at Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Ward 2, Sagba Abogunde, the popular governorship hopeful promised that no ongoing projects in Ede and other parts of the state would be left undone when APC takes over the reigns of power after the 2026 election
“I want to assure our people that an APC administration in the state as from next year, will not abandon any ongoing projects in the state. This is because we are determined to entrench good governance for our people across the state. We are not out for empty pursuits or being primordial” he said
He further assured that the party would be dispassionate in its approach to governance, adding that it would be an administration that would be geared towards serving the people on all frontll
Meanwhile, the people, aside other requests for amenities that could make life meaningful to them, insisted that the governorship ticket be zoned to the West senatorial district in the state.
They maintained that doing so would balance the equation because according to them, the senatorial district has not had a fair share in that regard when compared with other senatorial districts in the state.
While commending Babayemi for his untiring efforts at ensuring that the party was continuously engaged with positive activities, the people assured him of their readiness to ensure that APC return to power by voting for it en-masse in 2026 and re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
