Echeno expressed delight at the completion of the International Centre at BUK while recalling that the project was abandoned years ago.

Echono envisioned the BUK Centre would serve as a hub of activities and boost revenue generation, adding that the iconic project would also enhance the architecture and grandeur of the university environment while also providing a space for research, learning and development.

While assuring the incoming management of its continued partnership, he urged them to ensure a proper use and maintenance of the facilities of the Centre.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Adamu Abbas, appreciated the TETFund for the intervention and completion of the project

He disclosed that the International Centre consists of over 38 rooms for accommodation, halls and open spaces, among others.

He recalled the International Centre was conceived by the administration of Abubakar Abdulrasheed over 15 years ago, urging the incoming Vice-Chancellor of the University to use the Centre for the purpose it was intended.
