The national leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has described Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, as a reform-driven leader and visionary statesman whose contributions continue to shape Anambra State and redefine the architecture of political leadership across Nigeria.
In a hearty tribute penned to mark Gov. Soludo’s 65th birthday by the APGA National Chairman, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, on behalf of the National Working Committee, APGA described Soludo as “a heaven-sent miracle to this generation—an intellectual colossus, a reform-driven leader, and a visionary statesman whose contributions continue to shape Anambra State and redefine the architecture of political leadership across Nigeria.”
The statement, issued through the Media and Publicity Adviser to the National Chairman, Dr Tony Olisa Mbeki, said the Governor’s milestone birthday at 65 offers a moment not only to celebrate his globally acclaimed accomplishments as a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and a distinguished economist but to reflect on his enduring legacy of excellence in public service, transformative governance, and uncompromising integrity.
The APGA National Chairman commended Governor Soludo’s trailblazing leadership, characterised by far-reaching reforms, a strategic overhaul of infrastructure, and innovative programmes focused on human capital development—notably the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative.
He emphasised that under Soludo’s administration, Anambra State has emerged as a benchmark for subnational governance, garnering admiration across political and ideological divides.
“Under Professor Soludo’s stewardship,” Barrister Ezeokenwa noted, “Anambra has witnessed unprecedented progress in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, security, infrastructure, and economic development. His administration has rekindled public confidence in governance through transparency, inclusiveness, and result-oriented leadership.”
He further praised Governor Soludo’s transformative impact within APGA, describing him as a stabilising force whose strategic vision has reinvigorated the party and reaffirmed its place as a formidable platform in Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
“I remain deeply grateful for his unwavering support during my emergence as National Chairman. His confidence in our collective vision reflects his firm belief in the future of APGA and its pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic journey,” he stated.
As Governor Soludo marks his 65th birthday, Barrister Ezeokenwa, on behalf of the National Working Committee, Board of Trustees, entire APGA membership, and millions of party loyalists nationwide, prayed for renewed strength, wisdom, and divine protection upon him.
“May Professor Soludo continue to be a beacon of hope for Ndi Anambra, a bulwark of progress for our great party, and a guiding light for emerging generations of Nigerian leaders.
